DR1000 Pro 5 HP Frequency Spindle

The DigiRout 1000 Pro uses a high frequency Spindle motor. Because the motor is a true induction motor with no commutating brushes the spindle has lower vibration than a common brush type hand held router motor. Dual angular contact bearings at the cutting end provide precision and stiffness with little or no runout. The inverter boosts the line frequency from 60 hz to 400 hz to drive the spindle at speeds up to 24,000 RPM with speed control feedback.

Spindle Features

This spindle motor uses German imported bearing which can last three times longer than an ordinary spindle motor. In extremely high speed working environments, ordinary bearings can not ensure a high rotational speed for a long time. The German imported bearing can make this spindle motor last three times longer than an ordinary spindle motor. The cost for German Angular Contact Imported Bearings are $150 more than an ordinary radial bearing commonly used in a hand router.
